A poor playing surface and a blustery wind prevented much decent football from being played. Blyth did create chances, especially in the first half, but their inability to convert any of them means they're being dragged back toward the relegation zone.

Stevenson sent Vauxhall's Longgrigg the wrong way from the penalty spot in the 45th minute. Ged Brannan had bundled down Leabon in the box. Half-time: 3-1. Jon Froggatt was able to slot the ball into the back of the net in the 90th minute, courtesy of Matt O'Halloran's cross. 4-1. In stoppage time the home crowd cheered each successful pass that their team completed. This was until Ashley Nicholls decided that he was bored - and fired home a spectacular goal from outside of the box.
